
Jan Schulmeister (*2006) already belongs to the sixth generation of musicians. The founder of the musical tradition of the František Černý family, he was a pupil of Antonín Liehmann and a classmate of Antonín Dvořák.
He brought his first gold trophy from Milan, Italy, when he was 7 years old. His piano skills have been recognized by judges at prestigious competitions in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Austria, Estonia, Belgium and the USA. In his short musical career so far, he has collected more than 30 awards for first places or absolute victories from all over the world.
Thanks to his successes, he was able to perform several times with Czech orchestras under the baton of important conductors. He regularly cooperates with the Wihan Quartet, in addition to these activities, he performs solo concerts not only on Czech, but also on foreign stages (Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, North Macedonia). He is also a guest of prestigious festivals (Prague Spring, Dvořákova Praha, Smetanova Litomyšl, Za poklady Broumovska, etc.)
In the 2018/2019 season, he was a scholarship holder of the MenArt program, organized by the Magdalena Kožené Foundation, in 2018 he became the youngest member of the PETROF Art Family association.
Despite his young age, he already has extensive recording experience. He already has 4 CDs to his credit, which chart his artistic development.
